Acorn Sprout Bravely Persists

I searched for, and found, the acorn sprout mentioned in an earlier post.  I was curious to see how it was doing.  Well, it seems it has been struggling most arduously, but still alive!  You can just see the tiny little oak tree trying to emerge from the decaying husk of the acorn shell (it’s just to the left of the husk).  It’s in a tough spot because it is subject to a measure of drought, trampling, and occasional lawn mower blades.  Perhaps it’s time for me to transplant it!
